Do:

• Wipe down regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove water droplets, soap residue, and toothpaste splatter
• Dry after each use with a soft microfibre cloth — particularly important in hard water areas like Auckland to prevent limescale build-up
• Use a mild, pH-neutral liquid soap diluted in warm water for routine cleaning
• Buff gently in the direction of the grain for brushed finishes (Brushed Brass, Brushed Nickel, Gunmetal)

Do Not:

• Use abrasive scouring pads, steel wool, or harsh scrubbing brushes — these will scratch and permanently damage the finish
• Apply acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon juice, or CLR-type descalers directly to the fixture
• Use bleach-based, solvent-based, or ammonia-containing cleaning products
• Allow limescale, soap scum, or chemical residue to sit on the surface for extended periods

For Stubborn Limescale:

Soak a soft cloth in a solution of mild white vinegar diluted 1:10 with water, apply gently to affected areas, leave for no more than 2–3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry immediately.
